It’s not just about turkey hunting. It’s about the lifestyle of Federation members, volunteers, staff and beyond. It’s about the diversity of the outdoors experience — conservation, all types of hunting, sharing the outdoors with others, preserving a time-honored tradition and more. It’s about, for and by people who love the entire outdoors experience.
Turkey Country is divided into six sections:
- Conservation: Information on the grassroots efforts of the NWTF, it’s volunteers and partners, and all the projects going on throughout the country to benefit all types of wildlife
- Cause & Effect: From Second Amendment rights to low-impact practices in outdoor recreation, this section tackles the hot button issues that affect outdoorsmen and women.
- The Caller: Where we get to brag on the extraordinary efforts of NWTF volunteers. No gossip or debutante balls here, these are reports on solid grassroots efforts that benefit wildlife, habitat, and introduce more people to the outdoors.
- Outreach and Education: Fun, informative and diverse. This section caters to the various NWTF outreach programs: Women in the Outdoors, Wheelin’ Sportsmen (for people with disabilities), JAKES volunteers (for people who work with the next generation of conservationists) and the NWTF’s educational programs.
- On the Hunt: The how-to, where-to-go, exciting new products that turkey hunters crave!
- Get in the Game: Tips and tricks from the pros to attract deer, turkey, quail and more to a hunting property.
When readers open Turkey Country, they’ll no doubt get the overall picture of what the NWTF is about and how to get involved.
